On November 8, 2024, on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, Vice Minister Amangali Berdalin visited the Almaty region in order to familiarize himself with the epizootic situation and connect all veterinary facilities to modules developed by the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee to ensure the traceability of farm animals.
As part of the working trip, a meeting was held at which Amangali Berdalin pointed out a number of problems that require urgent solutions. Among them are insufficient control over food safety, lack of proper monitoring and untimely implementation of preventive measures.
The Vice Minister also noted the importance of conducting explanatory work among small and medium-sized businesses to connect all veterinary facilities to the developed modules of digitalization in the field of veterinary medicine (including modules of VSE, quarantine and ICI).
In addition, the new head of the territorial inspection, Dauren Toibayev, was introduced to the team at the meeting.
The Vice Minister recalled that within the framework of the Concept of development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2030, indicative indicators for the construction of veterinary points, slaughterhouses and animal burial grounds were established. However, at present, the performance of indicative indicators in the Almaty region remains not at the proper level, which affects the quality of control over the epizootic situation.
Amangali Berdalin stressed that only an integrated approach will improve the level of veterinary safety in the region.
