In Aktau, in order to provide the population with high-quality drinking water, preparatory work is underway at the Kaspiy plant to connect one of the three desalination plants.
The contractor responsible for these works is the Caspian Constructors Trust company.
Due to the delay of work by the contractor, the Caspian Constructors Trust company, there is a failure in starting the installation. The heads of the contractor company promise to launch 10,000 cubic meters by the end of November.
Work on the modernization of the plant has been underway for three years. The project provides for an increase in the production capacity of the plant to 40,000 m3.
-According to the technology, after the start of the plants, the water treatment will take about ten days, including disinfection work. In accordance with the approved plan, on November 20, the city will receive the first 5,000 m3 of water, and by the end of the month the plant plans to produce an additional 10,000 m3," said Serik Gusman, director of the Caspian Desalination Plant LLP.
In addition, the construction of a 47 km long water pipeline from the Kuyylys field to the Kaspiy desalination plant continues in Aktau. The contracting company is Alyans LTD LLP. 15 units of special equipment and 32 employees are involved in the construction work. This project will contribute to the settlement of the issue of shortage of drinking water in the city.
- Construction of a 47-kilometer-long water pipeline with a diameter of 900 mm is underway from the Kuyylys field to the Kaspiy desalination plant. The work is being carried out intensively. After completion of work on this site, we will run water to fill the pipes," said Anvar Tulyakov, head of the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Mangystau region.
Also, the Aktau desalination plant, located in the village of Akshukur, produces 5,000 m3 of drinking water per day. The construction of the Aktau desalination plant was started by a private investor in 2020. The plant was put into operation in March 2023.
- This plant produces 5,000 m3 of drinking water per day. Drinking water produced by the plant is supplied through the CVS-4 to the upper neighborhoods of the city," said Zhusup Mukhamed, chief specialist of the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation Development of the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Mangystau region.
In addition, the village of Akshukur and Sain Shapagatov were previously provided with drinking water through the CUVS-4 of MAEK LLP and the Aktau desalination plant. In the summer months of this year, a drinking water production plant with a capacity of 4,000 m3 per day was installed in the village of Sain Shapagatov. Today, the village of Akshukur and Sain Shapagatov are provided with drinking water through this installation. This, in turn, made it possible to direct the volume of released water to the city of Aktau.
