World boxing champion, silver medalist of the Paris Olympics Nurbek Oralbai and Honored boxing coach of Kazakhstan Askar Yerkebayev organized a master class for young athletes at the SANA Sport sports complex, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
During the meeting, 24-year-old Nurbek Oralbai noted the importance of training to achieve success. In addition, he stressed that everyone who plays sports effectively spends their free time and moves away from bad habits. After that, he answered the questions asked and told what the decisive fight at the Paris Olympics was like.
"The most difficult match at the Olympics was with Callum Peters (Australia). The reason is that the starting 2 rounds were equal. The winner was determined only in the final round, and we continued the competition. I can say that this meeting was even more difficult than the final," Nurbek Oralbai said.
And personal trainer Askar Yerkebayev said that in 2009, the Oralbai brothers first wanted to choose not boxing, but freestyle wrestling.
"As a coach, I trained boxers from 1995-1996. And Aibek and Nurbek Oralbai, who were born in 2000, trained with those who are older than them. They were no different from anyone, they showed endurance and strength. At that moment, I noticed that the Oralbai brothers can defend the honor of the country in the international arena," said Honored boxing coach of Kazakhstan Askar Yerkebayev.
Not limited to advice, Nurbek Oralbai held an open training session in the ring.
Recall that Nurbek Oralbai won the 2023 World Championship in Tashkent in the adult category and reached the final of the Paris Olympics. Aibek Oralbai became the Asian champion in 2022.
