On the night of November 11-12, more than 1,200 units of special equipment and more than 300 road workers went out to clean snow in Astana. Public utilities work around the clock, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
During the day shift, the utilities removed more than 24 thousand cubic meters of snow from the capital, which is equal to the volume of more than 1,800 heavy trucks.
Since the beginning of the winter period, about 6 thousand flights have been taken to snow ranges, which is over 81 thousand cubic meters of snow.
On the afternoon of November 11, over 1.3 thousand units of special equipment and over 2.4 thousand road workers were involved in snow removal in the capital.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are being removed from snow – squares, forecourts, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
Astana municipal services operate in a round-the-clock enhanced mode.
