Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev took part in the opening ceremony of the International Scientific Forum in the field of science and education "Challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to the scientific and engineering community of Eurasia". The forum is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Satbayev University and the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kanysh Satpayev, the founder of the geological school of Kazakhstan and the first president of the National Academy of Sciences of the country.
Opening the scientific forum, the head of the city read a welcome telegram from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and congratulated the university staff on its 90th anniversary.
The forum will be held from November 11 to 15 in Almaty, it will be attended by representatives of 200 organizations and enterprises, Kazakhstani and foreign universities, embassies and consulates from 22 countries.
The program includes the opening of the STROYTECH engineering center and technology park, the Hyundai Engineering research Center, and the presentation of a Customized FabLab created according to the standards of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The forum will include a plenary session, technology transfer, panel sessions on issues of interaction between the state, science and business, and career development of young scientists.
On the eve of Satbayev University, it was awarded two historical achievements. For the first time in its history, the university received the prestigious QS Stars award, confirming the high level of educational programs with international partners. Also executed by him. Satpayeva entered the top 100 universities in Asia, significantly strengthening its position among 4,000 Asian universities, joining Shanghai University, Pusan National University and bypassing such key universities in Asia as the University of Makau, Singapore Management University, etc.
