Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, during a working detour of the Nauryzbay district, inspected apartments in the new residential complex Alem City 3. Housing is intended for waiting lists from the category of socially vulnerable segments of the population and working youth on a rental basis.
After examining several apartments, Yerbolat Dosayev drew attention to the need to create an accessible environment for people with limited mobility – ramps should be installed in the houses. The mayor of the city also instructed to connect new houses to utility networks in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of heat and water supply systems.
As part of the implementation of the state program for housing provision in 2022-2023, 4,100 apartments were transferred to the communal housing fund, which are distributed among rural residents and working youth. In addition, by the end of 2024, it is planned to purchase 3,150 apartments, of which 2,100 are intended for children with disabilities and 1,050 for working youth.
A three-year lease agreement for working youth provides for a monthly rent in the amount of 7 to 15 thousand tenge, without the right to buy out and prolongation of the term. In addition, young people who have received rental housing during this period must accumulate funds on deposits for the subsequent purchase of housing with a mortgage through second-tier banks.
As reported, in 10 months of this year, 4,828 citizens were provided with housing, including: 1,655 – rental housing from the communal housing stock for waiting lists; 2,100 – rent–free housing for working youth; 226 – under preferential credit programs for waiting lists at 2 and 5% per annum; 847 - under the program "Almaty Zhastary". 160 housing certificates were also issued in the amount of 187.3 million tenge.
