The capital's karate pair became the best at the World Championship

The winners of the World Para Karate Championship, which took place from November 5 to 12 in the Indian state of Goa, were solemnly welcomed by fans and parents at Astana airport, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The XXIV Funakoshi Karate World Championship (FSKA) was attended by 40 athletes from 6 teams with intellectual, musculoskeletal and visual impairments from South Africa, Italy, Portugal, India, Kazakhstan, USA, Russia, Kenya, Malaysia. Among them are five athletes from Astana. These are Lyazzat Zhusupova, Didar Mukhamedzhanov, Rustam Bilyalov, Nurzhaina Zhannetova and Rustem Kozhakhmetov.
Five athletes from the capital, who competed in the karate kata pair program, climbed the victory podium and won gold.
Merited coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan in para karate Meiramgul Dukuyeva noted that she was proud of her students who performed in India.
"We have been practicing para karate since 2019, since then our athletes have begun to show the best results in competitions. All 40 athletes who took part in this year's championship performed at a high level, we are proud of our athletes," said Meiramgul Dukuyeva.
Thus, the karate pair athletes finished this year with the best result at the World Championships in the Indian state of Goa.
