The Ministry of Transport presented digital projects of the transport industry

Digital Transport Day was held on November 12, where digital projects in the fields of road, rail, sea and air transport, as well as the road industry, were presented.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Transport on the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry as part of the DemoDay by government agencies.
The Digital Transport Day was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yesekeyev Kuanyshbek Bakytbekovich, First Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanysh Tuleushin, Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, employees of the Presidential Administration and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, digital deputy ministries, as well as IT employees of public and private organizations.
During the event, the following digital technologies used by subordinate organizations of the Ministry in the field of highways are shown:
- automation of procedures for carrying out examinations of materials and completed works during construction and repair of highways;
- databases of road construction materials that are publicly available for business;
- the use of artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of the condition of the roadway;
- information systems on toll sections of republican highways.
The plans for the implementation of a Unified public system according to the instructions of the Head of State, which will cover all digital aspects of 95 thousand km, have been demonstrated. highways.
Special attention is paid to digital issues in the field of freight transport by road:
- implementation of a unified transport document management system that allows switching to electronic waybills and waybills;
- mutual use of electronic authorization forms with Uzbekistan, as well as plans for scaling up the project with China and the countries of the Organization of Turkic States;
- scaling up automatic weight and dimensional control by installing more than 20 Automated measuring stations on the country's roads in 2024.
The railway industry has not been ignored either. The head of digitalization of JSC NC Kazakstantemirzholy told about existing and planned digital projects:
- information systems in freight and passenger transportation;
- cooperation with the Singapore-based PSA company on digitization of customs transit processes;
- plans for the use of artificial intelligence technologies obtained from KTZ's strategic partner, Huawei;
- A single digital window for providing 8 commercial and logistics services to businesses on the website ektz.kz .
The work on the implementation of projects in the country's seaports, as well as plans for the digital development of the Caspian sector and multimodal transport corridors were announced.
In the field of air cargo transportation, digital projects of airports and airlines are shown, technologies used in flight planning of aircraft are noted, as well as electronic registration and support of cargo transportation in the E-freight system.
Vice Minister of Transport Kaliakparov Maksat Kairzhanovich thanked the participants of the event and noted that digitalization of the transport industry is a necessity that will serve for the benefit of society and the economy.
He also stressed the importance of introducing modern digital technologies as part of the development of the country's transit corridors and increasing the transport and logistics potential of Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, Vice Minister of Digital Development Tuleushin Kanysh Amanbaevich noted that work will be carried out on the projects presented at the event and in the future a number of joint digitalization projects will be developed for the convenience of citizens.
