During the night shift in Astana, more than 1.2 thousand units of special equipment are involved in snow removal works. Municipal services of the city are working in an enhanced mode, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
350 road workers and 1,244 units of special equipment went out on the night shift to clean snow and ice around the city.
During the day shift on November 12, municipal services took out almost 23 thousand cubic meters of snow from Astana, which is more than 1.8 thousand heavy trucks.
In total, since the beginning of the winter period, over 126 thousand cubic meters of snow have been transported to snow ranges on 10,062 flights.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow – squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
Astana municipal services operate in a round-the-clock reinforced shift mode.
