Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov met with the population of Korgalzhyn district, where he spoke about socio-economic development and the main tasks under the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The district specializes in grain production, animal husbandry and processing of agricultural products.
The industrial sector of the district is represented by one medium-sized enterprise "Astana - Agroproduct" LLP and 21 small ones. There are no large-scale industries in the district, in this regard, the share of the district in the total industrial production of the region is very low - 0.1%.
The head of the region stressed that reformatting of work with an emphasis on the domestic market is required. The demand for high-quality meat products will be provided by the population and the catering sector. Also, to work closely with the company, to provide assistance and support from the local executive body.
Local authorities have been instructed to develop food production, including meat, dairy products and ready-made semi-finished products, learning from the experience of Kazbeef, which has established a full production cycle. The company successfully sells its products both domestically and on the export market.
One of the main tasks of the akimat is to attract investments. Given the large reserves of construction sand, it is necessary to establish the production of building materials in the area.
Speaking about the development of agriculture, the governor of the region drew attention to the results of the harvesting campaign. This year, the gross grain harvest in the Korgalzhyn district exceeded 180 thousand tons with an average yield of 12 kg/ha. Government support, compliance with agricultural technologies and good weather conditions have affected yields. Already, farmers should start preparing for the future agricultural season, not forgetting their obligations to financial institutions.
By the way, this year the state support for the agro–industrial complex of the region exceeded about 140 billion tenge, of which 46.5 billion were non-refundable subsidies. 4.3 billion tenge has been allocated to support the agro-industrial complex of Korgalzhyn district this year, which is twice as much as in the past.
Korgalzhynsky district, where the state nature reserve of the same name is located, has good potential for tourism development. The akimat of the district was instructed to consider opportunities for attracting investments in the tourism sector, to develop master plans for the development of settlements, including the district center.
In the field of infrastructure development, all necessary documentation is being developed for the average repair of the Korgalzhyn-Barshino regional highway. A lot of work is being done to ensure high-quality drinking water and electricity supply.
Residents of the Korgalzhynsky district voiced problematic issues related to housing construction and infrastructure, housing and communal services.
