The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has developed a draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on physical culture and sports, as well as the prevention of excessive legislative regulation of norms."
The document introduces a new concept of "accompanying an athlete with a disability". This innovation will allow athletes with disabilities of the first group to receive assistance when participating in sports events. The draft law is aimed at expanding the freedom of movement and conditions for the participation of athletes with disabilities in sports competitions.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, this change contributes to increasing inclusivity in sports and creating favorable conditions for the participation of citizens with disabilities in sports events.
"The introduction of a special assistance system for athletes with disabilities is an important step towards maximizing the inclusiveness of sports in our country. We will continue our policy aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens," said Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov.
The adoption of the document will significantly increase inclusivity in the field of sports and create great opportunities to support the victories of athletes with disabilities.
