The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has developed a draft law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on physical culture and sports, as well as the prevention of excessive legislative regulation."
The document provides for the introduction of a new system of selection of sports disciplines in the country. According to the bill, priority sports will be selected not according to world rankings, but based on the results of the performances of national teams at the Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, Asian and Para-Asian Games.
These changes are aimed at clarifying priorities in the preparation of Kazakhstan's sports teams and creating a system based on results in the international arena. Thus, a specific and result-oriented policy will be implemented, which will increase the competitiveness of Kazakhstani athletes at international competitions.
"This bill is aimed at introducing innovations in the sports field, increasing efficiency and ensuring high results of Kazakhstan's sports teams at international tournaments. We consider the results at the Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, Asian and Para–Asian Games as the main guideline and strive to bring the sports sphere of our country to a new level," said Erbol Myrzabosynov.
The adoption of this bill will improve the system of sports development in the country and ensure that Kazakhstan achieves outstanding results on the world sports arena.
