The Center for identification and support of gifted children and talented youth" Astana Daryn "with the support of the Republican scientific and practical Center" Daryn " held the national stage of the first international competition in the Bibigul Tulegenova Creative School together with the public Foundation USTEM Foundation within the framework of the implementation of the roadmap for the development of STEM education, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
About 450 schoolchildren from Astana, Almaty, Semey, Kokshetau, Karaganda took part in the competition. In it, robots were built at different levels, depending on the age of adolescents.
Young researchers aged 6-10 years have developed LEGO projects and offered their own solutions for real problems.
Students aged 10-16 have developed and programmed robots from LEGO to perform complex engineering tasks.
High school students aged 12-18 have developed robots from metal structures to perform complex engineering tasks.
Among the teams, the winners were the Quant team of the Quantum Stem School of Astana and the North Star team of the Riviera International School, who received a ticket to defend the honor of our country in the competition in Belgium.
