A solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the Tauelsizdik Urpaktary grant was held in Almaty, organized with the support of the city's Youth Policy Department. The grant, aimed at supporting youth initiatives, attracted more than 150 applications. According to the results of the commission's work, 13 winners in 6 directions were awarded 1,000,000 tenge each. In particular, grantees were awarded in the fields of science, culture, information technology, business, media and volunteering.
"Since the independence of Kazakhstan, a generation of young people has grown up who are free in their views and contribute to the development of the country. These grants were established on behalf of the President to support talented young Kazakhstanis so that they can implement their projects and develop their ideas," said Nursultan Bekkairov, Head of the Youth Socialization and Youth Initiatives Support Department of the Youth Policy Department.
The main goal of the project is to support the initiatives of young people seeking to create an active and creative community, as well as foster patriotism and love for the Motherland through participation in socially significant events.
"I saw information about the beginning of this project on social networks and decided to try my hand. When, after the decision of the commission, the organizers informed me: "You have become a winner," I was very glad. In the future, we will try to make the project as high-quality as possible so that it benefits youth and society," one of the winners, Nusipbaeva Zhuldyz, shared her opinion.
The ceremony was attended by public figures, representatives of non-governmental organizations and active youth of the city. After the award ceremony, a concert program was organized for the guests.
