Akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev visited the village of Bakbakty, Balkhash district, on a working trip and met with residents. The meeting discussed topical issues, and the main topic was the development of agriculture.
There are more than 100 thousand cattle, 30 thousand horses, as well as 30 thousand sheep and goats in the district. Although sufficient fodder is prepared for livestock, farmers are facing difficulties due to water shortages. This prevents the expansion of arable land and reduces the productivity of some crops.
Marat Sultangaziev instructed the responsible state bodies to work closely with farmers, provide a wide range of explanations about the possibilities of state support and introduce water-saving technologies. The meeting also considered issues of preparation for spring sowing.
Akim of Balkhash district Azat Kutpanbetov reported on the socio-economic development of the district. At the end of the year, the volume of industrial production amounted to 3.4 billion tenge, the gross output of the agricultural sector amounted to 42 billion tenge, and the volume of investments amounted to 9 billion tenge. The BioCarbon plant was launched in the village of Bakanas. 1.6 thousand tons of fertilizers were purchased and irrigation works are underway. Within the framework of the "Village Trust" program, 133 residents were given soft loans, and 20 thousand hectares of unused land were returned to circulation.
Within the framework of the "One Village - One Profession" project, 37 new facilities were opened, 100 people were employed. The construction of a 40-apartment housing complex was completed, a youth resource center was opened, and 35 apartments were purchased for socially vulnerable citizens.
1,100 houses were supplied with gas, and 20 settlements were provided with centralized water supply. In addition, work on the reconstruction of water pipelines is ongoing.
In the healthcare sector, the construction of paramedical and obstetric stations, medical clinics and doctor's offices is underway. Although the issue of three-shift training in the education system has been resolved, several schools require major repairs. 23 teachers have been involved in the sector, and 9 of them need to be provided with housing.
During the meeting, residents raised the issues of the construction of social facilities, the condition of roads and water supply. The regional akim noted that water shortage is a major problem that directly affects the development of the region, and said that its solution will be a top priority.
