The Department for Land Resources Management of the Kostanay Region KZR of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the prosecutor's office and internal affairs bodies of the Zhitikarinsk district, stopped the fact of illegal gold mining on a land plot intended for pasture.
During the inspection, it was established that LLP acquired rights to a land plot with a specific purpose "for conducting agricultural commodity production." However, in fact, the site was used for illegal mining of precious metals by leaching the soil.
During the inspection of the territory, special equipment, metal detectors and other tools for illegal mining were discovered.
In addition, the fact of the destruction of the fertile soil layer was recorded. The department imposed a fine of 2.6 million tenge.
The LLP is also obliged to restore the fertile soil layer damaged as a result of illegal actions.
