During the working visit of the Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Nurlybayev to the Ulytau region, a four-way Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of the Ulytau region, the "Kazakhmys" Corporation and the "UMC" Public Company.

The purpose of the Memorandum is cooperation in the field of organizing methodological and consultative medical care, exchange of experience, training of health care professionals of the Ulytau region in clinical areas of UMC's activities at advanced training courses, master classes and other types of additional education.

UMC will ensure the permanent presence of its specialists (doctors and paramedical staff) in the Ulytau region for a period of 2 to 4 weeks per month for 12 months to provide direct assistance
They will provide practical assistance in diagnostics, patient treatment and surgical interventions, and if necessary, will be sent to UMC clinics. At the same time, local doctors and paramedical staff will improve the professional level of specialists of the republican clinic in master classes.

The Department of Health of the Ulytau region undertook to organize the departure of specialists from the Ulytau region to the UMC in Astana to consolidate the acquired knowledge and skills.
The Kazakhmys Corporation will play the role of a socially responsible partner, assisting in financing expenses for activities within the framework of the memorandum.

The memorandum was signed by the Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Sh. Nurlybayev, Deputy Akim of the region A. S. Idrissov, Director of Orken Assistance LLP A. K. Boranbayeva on the basis of a power of attorney from Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Deputy Medical Director of the UMC Public Fund V. Kh. Altynova signed.
