Kazakhstan and Chinese sports leaders met in Harbin

The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabosynov, and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Gennady Golovkin, met with the Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the People's Republic of China, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee, and Head of the International Wushu Federation, Gao Zhidan.
During the meeting, which was held within the framework of the official reception ceremony of the Organizing Committee of the Winter Asian Games, Yerbol Myrzabosynov expressed his gratitude to Gao Zhidan for the cooperation in the field of sports between the two countries.
“Currently, sports relations between Kazakhstan and China are developing at a high level. We intend to further strengthen this cooperation. The Kazakh delegation has been to the Winter Asian Games in Harbin since the first days of the competition and I would like to thank the representatives of the Organizing Committee for the warm welcome, the high level of organization of the opening ceremony and the Winter Asian Games,” the Minister said.
The Head of the NOC of Kazakhstan noted the importance of organizing large-scale competitions.
“It is not easy to hold large-scale complex competitions. We would like to express our special gratitude to the Organizing Committee of the Harbin-2025 Winter Asian Games for their hospitality and harmonious work. We have been here since the Games began and we have seen how dedicated the organizers are to their work. This can be seen in the logistical support, the work of volunteers, and the technical support.”
As a reminder, the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025 will end on February 14. Currently, the Kazakhstan team has 9 medals (1 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze).
