The arrival of a baby brings many happy moments, accompanied by an important step: applying for the relevant benefits. Parents can obtain the childbirth allowance through the "Government for Citizens" State Corporation. In the first eight months of this year, over 200,000 families have already processed this one-time childbirth payment.

There is no need to apply in person, as the service is available proactively. Once the child's birth is registered, the parent receives an SMS notification. Simply confirming consent to receive the service and providing bank account details is enough for the allowance to be granted automatically.

The highest volume of payments is concentrated in the southern regions and cities of national significance. The Turkistan Region is the clear leader in the number of processed benefits, with over 28,000 families receiving payments. Almaty ranks second with over 19,000 payments, followed by Astana, where more than 17,000 families received state support.

The amount of the one-time state financial aid depends on the child's birth order. In 2026, the payment for the birth of a first, second, or third child is 164,350 tenge, while for subsequent children, it is 272,475 tenge.

It is also important to note the application timeframe. Documents must be submitted within 18 months of the child's birth; after this period, the right to the payment is forfeited.

Applications can be submitted at "Government for Citizens" State Corporation branches, with a processing time of up to seven working days. If the application is submitted via the e-government portal or a commercial bank's mobile app, the payment is processed within four working days.
