164 THOUSAND PEOPLE TOOK THE JANUARY UNT
About 164 thousand people took the January UNT. Of these, 76.81% of applicants took the test in Kazakh, 23.14% in Russian, and 89 in English.
About 70.35% of applicants scored the minimum score in the UNT. As for the average score, it was 65.81 points. The highest score was 139. A total of 186 applicants scored more than 130.
The majority of test participants chose the "Mathematics-Physics" combinations, in particular, 17.5% passed. 17.27% chose the "Biology-Chemistry" subjects. The top 3 also included the "Mathematics-Informatics" combination, which was chosen by 10.29% of applicants. The least chosen combination is “Chemistry-Physics”, which was passed by 197 people.
According to the results of the January 2025 UNT, applicants passed the subject “Reading Literacy” at a high level. On average, 75.43% of the questions were answered correctly. And only 32.32% of applicants who passed “Physics” completed the task correctly, for whom the topic “Electromagnetic Induction” was difficult. Thus, the National Testing Center provides not only numbers, but also a detailed analysis of topics according to the UNT results.
It is worth noting that 392 applicants took part in the January UNT, thanks to the creation of favorable conditions for applicants with special educational needs.
197 violations were identified during the UNT. Of these, 101 applicants were denied the opportunity to take the test due to attempts to carry prohibited items such as smartphones and cheat sheets, and 96 people were expelled from the audience for violating the rules during the test. No other individuals were identified.
Applicants were able to appeal within 30 minutes after the end of the test. This time, more than 14 thousand applications were received, of which 10 applications were satisfied. The Republican Commission has completed its work, and the applicants' certificates are available in their personal accounts.
It should be noted that after the end of the 2025 UNT, the analysis of the test videos will be carried out until October 31 of the calendar year. In case of detection of facts of use of prohibited substances or violation of the rules, the applicant's UNT results will be canceled.
As a reminder, those who were conditionally admitted to higher education institutions on a paid basis on a full-time basis, who did not score the threshold according to the results of the summer UNT, those who want to transfer to preparatory areas other than creative BBT, to a pedagogical direction on a paid basis, as well as graduates who are graduating from school, will participate in the January UNT for admission to higher education institutions on a paid basis.
