A city seminar on the topic "Adapting preschool children to school" was held at the school-lyceum No. 59 named after K. Mynbayev in the capital with the participation of kindergarten methodologists and deputy school directors for primary grades, the official website of the akimat of the capital reported.
The meeting considered effective ways of adapting children to school, taking into account the skills and needs of children being brought up in kindergarten, issues of revitalizing work related to creating conditions for children to get used to and assimilate in a new environment.
The director of the Institute of Early Childhood Development under the Ministry of Education, Maria Ermanova, reported on the work being carried out under the state education program and the development of skills by children attending kindergarten when they go to school, their monitoring, and the relationship between educational organizations.
The "Concept of Education Development for 2023-2029" was approved. Accordingly, we need to ensure the consistency, continuity and continuity of education. Together with the Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Education and the Institute for Early Childhood Development, we have developed an action plan. Support schools and support kindergartens have been identified and connections have been established between them. On the basis of monitoring, attention will be paid to maintaining an individual development map of the child. We have a program of preschool education and training, within the framework of which monitoring is carried out 3 times a year to determine how the child is mastering the relevant skills,” said Maria Ermanova.
According to experts, the continuity between kindergarten and school contributes to the adaptation of first-graders to school and the full and high-quality mastery of the school program.
