On February 12, the first meeting of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport of this year was held, during which the results of the work of 2024 were discussed and the work plan of the Public Council for 2025 was approved.
The approved work plan is comprehensive and comprehensive, covering several large-scale areas, in particular, stabilization of the railway and road transport markets, development of shipping, problems in the construction of highways, development of the republican budget, combating corruption, implementation of action plans provided for in the concepts of development of transport and logistics potential until 2030 and development of railway transport until 2029, problems of business in the field of freight and passenger railways, aviation, road transport, on the progress of the Year of Working Professions, on the progress of the implementation of the reform of railway transport, competition in the field of freight railway transport development.
During 2024, the Council was engaged in improving legislation, considering citizens' applications, and developing proposals for interaction with subordinate organizations of the Ministry.
Members of the Public Council regularly analyzed the budget execution, actively participated in industry forums and raised the issue of an accessible environment for people with disabilities, and created conditions for the formation of an inclusive society.
Also, the composition of 5 sectoral commissions was approved at the meeting of the Public Council: Civil Aviation Issues, Road and Water Transport Issues, Road Transport Issues, Budget Issues, and the Commission on Combating Corruption.
