The leader of the national figure skating team, Mikhail Shaidorov, won a bronze medal at the Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China.

He scored 169.26 points in the free program today. Yesterday, he scored 76.75 points in the short program. Thus, 246.01 points allowed him to rise to third place.

Dias Zhirenbayev, on the other hand, finished in 9th place overall with 186.18 points.

The silver medalist of the World Championship, South Korea's Cha Junhwan, became the champion. And the three-time silver medalist of the World Championship, Japanese Yuma Kagiyama, is in 2nd place.

This is the 6th medal in figure skating that Kazakhstan has won at the Asian Games.
