Shanghai – Suzhou – Nanjing, September 7–11, 2026

On September 8, 2026, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, Nurlan Akkoshkarov, participated in a collective meeting between members of the diplomatic corps accredited in China and Zhu Zhongming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Acting Mayor of Shanghai.

The meeting was held as part of a familiarization tour organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in coordination with the People's Governments of Shanghai and Jiangsu Province for foreign diplomats along the Shanghai – Suzhou – Nanjing route from September 7 to September 11, 2026.

Zhu Zhongming briefed the diplomats on the key directions for the metropolis's development for 2026–2030, highlighting investment attraction, high-tech development, urban infrastructure upgrading, and the expansion of Shanghai's international partnerships.

In Suzhou, the diplomatic delegation explored the city’s industrial and innovation capacity and reviewed the operations of the Suzhou Industrial Park. On the final day in Nanjing, the delegation met with Xin Changxing, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, to discuss prospects for expanding trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the region and foreign nations.

Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Akkoshkarov attended the official events in Shanghai, while Consul Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, Y.Tursunov, took part in the visit program across Suzhou and Nanjing.
