Nurdaulet Kilybay met with Swiss investors in Astana

On February 12, the akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybay met with representatives of the Swiss company "Swiss Choice Holding" in Astana. They discussed the implementation of the "Red Pearl" fish farm investment project in the Tupkaragan district, aimed at breeding sturgeon and producing caviar.
The akimat allocated 56 hectares of land through a grant for the project, which aims to breed 100 to 600 tons of sturgeon and produce 100 tons of caviar per year on the coast of the Caspian Sea. The construction of the investment project, worth a total of 5.7 billion tenge, is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2025 and be put into operation in 2026. The first stage is planned to breed 100 tons of sturgeon.
After the start of construction work, about 30 new jobs will be created. The enterprise plans to market its products domestically and export them abroad.
Nurdaulet Kilybay noted at the meeting the contribution of this project to the socio-economic development of the region and expressed full support from the akimat.
- Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed at the expanded meeting of the Government to strengthen the diversification of the economy and attraction of investments. We intend to implement various projects in this direction in the region. This investment project in the field of sturgeon breeding and caviar production, which we discussed today, is of great importance for our region. We are ready to provide comprehensive support within the framework of the law for the successful implementation of the project, - said Nurdaulet Kilybay.
