From February 11 to 15, the "City of Working Professions" festival is being held at the EXPO pavilion in Astana. Four colleges from Abay region will participate in the large-scale event, presenting their educational achievements and modern areas of study. The official opening of the festival was held by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event includes various exhibitions in 15 areas.
The Geological Exploration College will showcase its work in the "House of Geologists" and "House of Hydrogeologists". "House of Geologists" was organized jointly with the ERG group of companies. Here, participants can get acquainted with samples of rocks and minerals and get information about the minerals they contain. And in the "House of Hydrogeologists" the formation and research methods of groundwater are presented.
The R.Baiseitov College of Finance and Economics presents the "House of Programmers" located on "Future Professions" Street, where modern interactive equipment and devices are demonstrated. Among the social partners are LLP "Oner 3D" and JSC "NITEK". The exhibition will present modern technologies such as network devices, fiber optic welding tools and 3D printers.
The College of Electrical Engineering is working in the House of the Atom World, located on "Energetikiter me Munayshylar Street". The college team, together with the national nuclear company "Kazatomprom", conducts professional orientation work for schoolchildren and students.
The Higher College of Geodesy, Cartography and Construction, as the only specialized educational institution in this field in Kazakhstan, will share its experience. The college will demonstrate modern technologies for creating maps of the Earth's surface in the direction of "Aerophotogeodesy". Methods for determining accurate coordinate data of the Earth by processing images from drones, airplanes and satellites will also be presented.
About 300 delegations from the Abai region will participate in the festival on February 13-14. The delegation includes Deputy Akim of the region Zhasulan Sarsebayev, representatives of the education department, deputies of the regional maslikhat, heads of technical and vocational education organizations, social partners, school principals and students.
