Hockey: Kazakhstan women's team becomes silver medalist of Harbin 2025 Games

Today, our women's ice hockey team defeated South Korea and won the silver medal of the IX Asian Winter Games in Harbin. The score of the decisive match: 3-0.

In the first period, our striker, one of the captains, Malika Aldabergenova, effectively using the numerical advantage, opened the score. At the beginning of the decisive round, Yulia Butorina doubled the score with a devastating shot. The author of another goal was Dariya Moldabay.

In total, Kazakhstan defeated Hong Kong (12-0), Thailand (9-0), Chinese Taipei (5-1), China (2-1), South Korea (1-0) in this competition, losing only to Japan (0-4).

This is the 7th prize of the women's hockey team at the Asian Games (3 gold, 3 bronze) and the first silver medal among them.

Another interesting fact is that the biggest victory in the history of the Kazakhstan national team is associated with South Korea. At the 2003 Asian Games, our hockey players scored 19 unanswered goals against their current opponents.
