Deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan got acquainted with the activities of sports facilities in the capital

Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zharasbayev familiarized the deputies of the Senate Committee on Socio-Cultural Development and Science with the construction of sports facilities in Astana.
The senators visited the municipal state institution "Specialized Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 5 for children and young men" under the Akimat of Astana city. During the visit, they got acquainted with the training conditions for young athletes mastering Olympic sports such as handball, volleyball and basketball. At the moment, about 600 children are studying at the school, mentored by 30 qualified coaches.
In addition, the deputies visited the Paralympic Training Center for athletes with disabilities. The center, designed for simultaneous training of up to 300 para-athletes, is equipped with a multifunctional treadmill, locker rooms for 150 people and medical offices. This facility is important for the preparation of Kazakhstani athletes for international competitions.
During the visit, the athletes shared their proposals with the senators and voiced topical issues.
During the visit, the senators also got acquainted with the construction of the National University of Sports, the second stage of work on which includes the construction of a conference hall, an administrative block, lecture halls, a library with a research center, a dining room and a main alley. The complex also includes a dormitory for students, housing for teachers and a medical rehabilitation center.
Following the visit, the deputies discussed topical issues of improving the sports infrastructure of Kazakhstan, including increasing the accessibility of sports facilities, improving the training and training system, as well as developing human resources to achieve international standards.
