At the moment, we are working on expanding the functions of basin inspections and state water inspectors, as well as introducing new rapid response tools," said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.
Today, the total staff of the basin inspections of Kazakhstan is 241 people. Since the establishment of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, it has grown 1.5 times. This made it possible to open departments of basin inspections in each regional center of the republic.
In total, there are 8 basin inspections in Kazakhstan. These are the Aral-Syrdarya, Balkash-Alakol, Yertis, Yesil, Zhaiyk-Caspian, Nura-Sarysu, Tobol-Torgai and Shu-Talas basin inspections.
