About 2.3 thousand trucks of snow were taken out of Astana overnight

Snowfall has been observed in the capital for several days now. Since the beginning of the winter period, the municipal services of the city have switched to an enhanced mode of operation. About 2.5 thousand road workers go out for snow removal every day, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
During the day shift, on November 14, the streets of Astana are cleared of snow and ice by more than 2.5 thousand road workers and 1.4 thousand units of special equipment.
On the night of November 13-14, over 30 thousand cubic meters of snow were taken out of the capital, which is about 2.3 thousand heavy trucks.
Since the beginning of the winter period, more than 210 thousand cubic meters of snow have been delivered to snow ranges on 17,095 flights.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow — squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
Cleaning on central streets, passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
According to Kazhydromet RSE, on November 14, partly cloudy weather, snow, wind 9-14, gusts up to 15-18 m/s are expected in Astana. The air temperature at night is -12...-14°C, during the day -2...-4°C.
