Policeman Yerdaulet Makimov was awarded for saving teenagers on the water

By order of the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for courage and dedication shown in rescuing people on the water, police officer Yerdaulet Makimov was awarded the medal "Suga batkandardy kutkargany usin".
The award on behalf of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was presented by the head of the Emergency Department of Pavlodar region Rustambek Amrin.
"Water is a dangerous element, in such cases it counts for seconds. You prevented a tragedy. Thanks to your decisive actions and courage, not one life was saved, but the lives of two teenagers," said the head of the Department, wishing the hero health and success in his service.
The case took place on August 1 of this year. The senior investigator of the police department of the Aktogay district, Yerdaulet Makimov, while on vacation, was vacationing with his family on the Irtysh River, heard the screams of boys standing on the shore. Seeing the teenagers floundering in the water, the officer, without hesitation for a second, jumped into the river.
The policeman managed to pull out one boy, and the second began to be carried away by the current. He rushed into the water again, swam to the teenager, gathering all his strength, swam with him to the shore, where he provided the children with first aid.
In turn, Yerdaulet Makimov believes that providing assistance in emergency situations is everyone's duty. The policeman has more than 12 years of service in the internal affairs bodies. Together with his wife, they raise three children.
