On November 30, Astana will host an international ice show, in which young athletes of the capital will take to the ice together with world figure skaters, the official website of the city akimat reports.
12 children from SDYUSSH No. 2 aged from 10 to 12 years old will take to the ice, who will perform together with world stars.
The show will bring together the brightest figure skaters, including two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, Russian champion Alexandra Trusova, world champion Dmitry Aliyev and many others. Special attention of the audience will be focused on the young participants who will get a chance to perform with such outstanding athletes.
Among the young participants are the winner of the championships and cups of Kazakhstan Maria Polekhina and the winner of the Spartakiad Alana Okhrimenko. Children will perform numbers based on famous fairy tales such as "The Nutcracker", "Cinderella and Prince Charming", as well as fragments from the classical ballets "Swan Lake" and "The Little Mermaid".
Young figure skaters are trained by experienced mentors — Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the youth CRC, winner of cups and championships, coach of the 1st category of Sports School No. 2 Ekaterina Bihert and coach of the highest category, national judge of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olesya Voinkova.
