The first railway tour between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is launched

The Silk Road railway tour opens in Kazakhstan. The first flight in the direction "Almaty – Turkestan – Tashkent – Almaty" will start on November 16, 2024.
An international railway tour in 4 days will allow tourists to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient cities and travel in the footsteps of the Great Silk Road. The route includes the key sights of Turkestan and Tashkent. For the convenience of tourists, the tour program provides guide support, meals, transport services and entrance tickets.
"As a result of joint efforts, we managed to create a unique railway tour that connects the two countries. Travel will become more comfortable and accessible for our citizens and tourists from other countries who want to learn about the rich spiritual and historical heritage. This is an important step in the development of tourism and strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan," said Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Travelers will be able to see one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia – Otyrar, which was an important trading link. The tour program also includes a visit to the mausoleum of Arystan Baba, the historical and cultural reserve-museum "Azret Sultan", the largest tourist complex of its kind in Central Asia "Caravanserai". In Tashkent, tour participants are given the opportunity to get acquainted not only with historical sites, but also with the modern development of the city.
It should be noted that the international tour is launched by JSC Passenger Transportation together with TauKomek Travel, Turan Kazakhstan Travel, Grand Soluxe Travel Company, SkyWay Travel, Kompas, Khan Turan Travel. In turn, JSC NC Kazakh Tourism will promote the route at the international level.
