On the sidelines of COP29, the Republic of Kazakhstan held an event "Towards the creation of a global platform for green climate technologies within the framework of the Green Bridge Partnership Program". This important event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MENR) and the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects (ICTIP), is aimed at discussing an effective mechanism for international transfer of green technologies.
Launched in 2011, the PPZM has become a key platform for dialogue on cooperation and technology exchange, bringing together 17 countries such as Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, Serbia, Finland, Montenegro, Sweden, as well as international organizations to jointly solve environmental problems. Kazakhstan proposed to give a new impetus to the program and its development, using modern digital solutions, which will significantly simplify cooperation, ensure the exchange of green technologies and contribute to the sustainable development of the participating countries.
One of the main speakers of the event was Ms. Armida Salsia Alishahbana, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), who stressed the need for technological cooperation and the role of digital solutions for the renovation of existing initiatives.
