The institute of freelance disability advisers is actively developing in the Akmola region. This important step became the basis for the further development of inclusive initiatives in the region, ensuring equal opportunities and their integration into society.
More than 29 thousand of this category live in the region. Today, all conditions are being created for them to participate fully in all spheres of life.
"Today our region is the only one in the country where there are councillors in rural districts. We are engaged in the implementation of programs aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities and are a "bridge" between the population and the state. Monthly "Open Days" are held where people with disabilities can get advice on disability, government support, labor legislation and others. Thanks to the work done, the number of appeals has decreased," said Vasily Shimansky, adviser to the akim of the Akmola region on disability issues.
Freelance advisers also contribute to the employment of people with disabilities.
For example, Kaliev Isa, a disabled person of the 2nd group, was employed as a mathematics teacher in the basic secondary school of the village of Andykozha Batyr in the Birzhan Sal district, Makhambetova Umut, a disabled person of the 3rd group, became a dietary nurse in the special kindergarten "Ayala" in the city of Kokshetau.
By the way, 487 people were employed in 10 months of 2024, of which 379 people were employed on a permanent basis, 108 on a temporary basis.
