From art to sports: the winners of the student festival were determined in Astana

The results of the student creative and sports festival JASTAR JALYNY-2024 were summed up in the capital. On the eve of the International Day of Students, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners was held, the official website of the Akimat of Astana reports.
The purpose of the festival was to reveal the creative potential of young people and create conditions for the development of gifted students and teams.
During the event, students not only showed their achievements in sports and art, but also learned to work in a team, express themselves and show leadership qualities.
"Student life is a time that will forever remain in the memory, it is impossible to forget it. Youth is the driving force of society, the basis for further development and the future of each country. Today, 450 thousand young people live in the capital, who contribute to the development of our capital and ensure our future. Dear young people, I congratulate you on your holiday! May youth, full of vivid memories, bring you only achievements and joyful moments," Deputy Mayor of Astana Yeset Bayken congratulated the winners of the festival.
About 100 thousand students from 15 universities of the capital took part in the competition program.
The participants of the festival were evaluated by professional figures of culture, art and sports, as well as famous artists, choreographers and videographers.
Students competed in such disciplines as football, volleyball, chess, table tennis, bandstand, dombra, national and modern dances, theater and mobilography.
"The victory was the result of good preparation and self-confidence. Meeting new people at the festival inspired me. Seeing how students are interested in chess and cheer for their own brings joy and motivation," said Meruert Kamalidenova, world champion, multiple champion of Kazakhstan and Asia, Olympic silver medalist in the women's national team of Kazakhstan, student of the Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports.
The Grand Prix was awarded to the Kazakh National University of Arts, which scored the highest number of points according to the results of all nominations. The main prize of the festival was 500,000 tenge. The Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports was awarded the second team place, and the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin was awarded the third.
The winners in each of the nominations also received cash prizes. 100,000 tenge was awarded for the first place, 70,000 tenge for the second, and 50,000 tenge for the third.

Stage: I place — Turan-Astana University, II place — Kazakh National University of Arts, III place — Esil University.
Theater: I place — Kazakh National University of Arts, II place — L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, III place — S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University.
Football: I place — Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports, II place — Nazarbayev University, III place — Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S.Seifullin.
Table tennis: I place — L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, II place — Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports, III place — Nazarbayev University.
Volleyball: I place — Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports, II place — Nazarbayev University, III place — Makasut Narikbayev University.
Modern dance: I place — Eurasian Humanitarian Institute named after A.K. Kusayynov, II place — Kazakh National University of Arts, III place — Astana IT University.
The final ceremony of the festival became a real show. The headliners of the event were popular artists AYREE and QARAKESEK.
