The IX Republican Championship of professional skills "WorldSkills Kazakhstan - 2024" has started in Astana. The grand opening of the championship was held in the EXPO exhibition hall. 555 students under the age of 22 take part in the competition.
The aim of the championship is to increase the prestige of working professions, introduce best practices and professional standards, as well as develop an expert community in the system of technical and vocational education.
Over the course of five days, young specialists from different parts of Kazakhstan will demonstrate their skills and professional skills in 30 competencies. 32 students and 30 experts from eight colleges left the Abai region.
It should be noted that at the VIII Republican WorldSkills Kazakhstan-2023 championship, the Abai region team took first place in the country in the team competition, winning 6 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze medals and 12 medallions in 30 competencies.
