Astana municipal services are fighting snowfall in the city day and night.
On November 14, more than 1.2 thousand units of special equipment and more than 300 workers went to the snow removal night shift, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
On the day of November 14, more than 29 thousand cubic meters of snow were removed from the capital, which is the volume of 2,206 thousand heavy trucks.
Since the beginning of the winter period, over 240 thousand cubic meters of snow have been delivered to snow ranges by more than 18 thousand flights of heavy trucks.
First of all, according to the rules, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow — squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
Cleaning on central streets, passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks is also a priority.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the city. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety rules, and refrain from long-distance trips in case of a storm warning.
