A regional seminar on the topic "Clarification of the norms of legislation and regulatory legal acts in the field of archival affairs and documentation" was held in Taraz.
The two-day event, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Zhambyl region, was aimed at improving the skills of archival specialists from the regions and exchanging experience on topical issues in the field of archival affairs.
The event was attended by heads and specialists of local executive bodies, state archives of Almaty and Shymkent, Turkestan, Kyzylorda and Zhambyl regions, as well as employees of departmental archival institutions.
During the event, the heads of the departments of the Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Business spoke about the normative legal acts in the field of archival business.
The seminar discussed issues of archival management, storage and digitalization of documents, as well as requirements for the formation of a nomenclature of cases. In addition, an exchange of experience took place at the State Archive of Zhambyl region.
An exhibition based on archival documents was presented during the seminar. The exhibition featured copies of personal documents from the archival collections of citizens who contributed to the social, economic and cultural development of the region, as well as about 50 photographs taken by photojournalists of local publications.
