The Kazakhstan Judo Championship among men and women has started in Aktobe. It takes place from November 15 to 18 at the Konys sports complex. The competition brought together about 500 participants from 17 regions, as well as from Astana, Almaty and Shymkent. Athletes compete for medals in seven weight categories.
The championship also includes mixed team competitions, the winner of which will receive the Kazakhstan Cup. Last year, the Kyzylorda region team won this trophy.
Following the results of the championship, the national team of Kazakhstan will be formed. The updated national team will perform at the final Grand Slam tournament in Tokyo, which will be held in December.
It is worth noting that the entrance to the Konys sports complex is free for spectators.
