Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Oshurbayev took part in a Japanese event on the topic "Transparency with GOSAT: Offering the world a new verification mechanism" on the sidelines of SOR29.
The session was attended by representatives of Central Asian countries, as well as Azerbaijan. In his speech, M. Oshurbaev noted: "Our joint work is aimed at using the capabilities of the GOSAT series satellite to analyze reverse modeling of greenhouse gas emissions, which allows us to improve calculations in the national inventory, as well as quality control and verification processes for BTR1 with the target year indicated in the document."
