On November 15, on the sidelines of SOR29, a bilateral meeting was held between Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan E. Nysanbayev and President of the Brazilian Climate Institute and CEO of VON BOHLEN & HALBACH Cie. FZ-LLC Peter von Bohlen and Halbach.
During the meeting, Mr. von Bohlen and Halbach presented the profile of their company, noting their interest in cooperation on carbon credits and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). Special attention was paid to the potential of Kazakhstan in these areas.
The Minister stressed the importance of working together to reduce carbon emissions and suggested developing a cooperation plan. Mr. von Bohlen and Halbach expressed their willingness to cooperate and invited the Kazakh side to participate in the work of the MARCH 2025 special climate organization in Brazil.
The parties also discussed the implementation of projects in the field of SAF, noting that the use of certified fuel conforming to CORSIA standards will help reduce Kazakhstan's carbon footprint.
In conclusion, the parties expressed their intention to continue active cooperation and stressed its importance for promoting environmentally friendly solutions.
