First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone on the upcoming professional holiday – the Day of Agricultural, Food and Processing Industry Workers. It is symbolic that our event coincided with another significant event – the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the development of virgin lands in Kazakhstan. Of course, you are aware that the results of this large-scale campaign have received mixed reviews. However, it is thanks to virgin soil that the domestic agricultural industry has undergone significant positive changes, and our country has become one of the main breadbaskets in the world in a short time. The social infrastructure has improved markedly, and new settlements have appeared on the map of the country. Therefore, today, first of all, I would like to note the activities of virgin soil pioneers and farmers who worthily continue their glorious path. We have just visited a specialized exhibition. Our great achievement is the high quality of domestic products, a significant part of which is exported. Kazakhstan ranks sixth in the world in terms of arable land and pastures. We are one of the ten largest wheat exporting countries, as well as one of the leaders in flour exports. Despite the fact that this year turned out to be difficult, we were able to harvest a record harvest in the last 10 years – 26.7 million tons of grain. I congratulate our farmers and express my sincere gratitude to them for this wonderful achievement!"
