In coordination with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and deputies of the city maslikhat, 39-year-old Rustem Tauekelov was appointed akim of the Almaty district. Prior to his appointment, he held the position of head of Elorda Kurylys Companyasi LLP.
He started his career at the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes. Over the years, he worked as the head of Balkantau KZ LLP, Deputy Director of Yelorda Kurylys Companyasi LLP, Deputy Chairman of the Board of City Transportation Systems LLP.
Since October 2022, he has held the position of head of Elorda Kurylys Companyasi LLP.
As part of the instructions of the Head of State, the akim of the Almaty district has set a number of tasks for the development of the district and residential areas.
