Exercises were held at the Pavlodar airport, the purpose of which was to increase the readiness and coordination of actions of various services in emergency situations on board the aircraft. Emergency departments of the Pavlodar region and airport staff conducted training on the rapid and safe evacuation of people from the aircraft, worked out methods and use of equipment for effective fire extinguishing on board the aircraft. According to the tactical plan, during the landing of the Boeing 737-300 aircraft, mechanical damage to the jet engine occurred, followed by combustion on a total area of 106 square meters.Gorenje. The commander of the aircraft transmitted information to the air traffic controller about the occurrence of an emergency situation, an emergency landing and the need for a fire crew. After the emergency landing of the aircraft, emergency services specialists immediately began to evacuate the conditional victims and eliminate the fire.
A similar exercise was also held at the Aulie-Ata International Airport. According to the scenario of the exercise, a passenger plane flying on the Taldykorgan – Shymkent route had to make an emergency landing at the Aulie-Ata International Airport due to an engine malfunction. During the emergency landing, aviation fuel leaked due to damage to the fuel tank, which led to a fire. Local airport firefighters, calling the Fire Extinguishing Service, began extinguishing the fire before help arrived. The forces and means of emergency situations of Zhambyl region that arrived at the scene began extinguishing using water and foam, as well as rescuing people and evacuating them to a safe place. Two combat stations were set up at the scene, 5 people were rescued and 85 people were evacuated. The victims received first aid, after which they were promptly taken to the hospital.
At the end of the fire-tactical exercises, detailed analyses of the actions to extinguish fires on the aircraft were carried out, the results of the exercises were summed up.
