A solemn ceremony of handing over the keys to new apartments was held in Sarzhal and Medeu rural districts of the Abai district. Ten citizens standing in line for public housing became happy new settlers.
This important step has become part of a large-scale program to improve housing conditions in the region. This year, thanks to the support of Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhayev, 70 new apartments are being phased out in eight rural districts and one settlement of the district.
At the ceremony of handing over the keys, Akim of the district Meyirzhan Smagulov congratulated the new settlers on the long-awaited housewarming, noting that housing provision is one of the priorities of the district's development.
"Providing comfortable living conditions for our citizens is an important component of the work of local authorities. We continue to implement measures for the construction and provision of housing in rural settlements," said Meyirzhan Smagulov.
The celebration continued with a festive concert organized by local bands. Songs and performances were played, creating a warm atmosphere for all participants of the event.
