A ceremony of handing over the keys to apartments in a new building to residents of the city who waited their turn took place in the metropolis. 124 people from among orphans, Afghan veterans, pensioners, mothers of disabled children, and other categories of children with disabilities received housing on this day.

Deputy Head of the Municipal Infrastructure Development Department of the Almaty Akimat Galymzhan Abdishukuruli noted that this year 2,000 people will become owners of apartments in general.
Nadezhda Kuzovkina, the mother of a disabled child, said that only the day before she received a call with good news.
- We have been standing in line for 13 years and the last time I was interested in her promotion was 5 years ago. I still don't believe that we finally got our roof over our heads. I express my gratitude to the authorities for having developed a special program for the disabled," the woman shared.
