Grand Prix: international para judo competitions will be held in the capital

Grand Prix para judo competitions will be held in the capital's Beeline Arena sports complex on November 23-24, the official website of the city akimat reports.
The pair of judoists of the national team of Kazakhstan achieved high results at the Paralympic Games in Paris, winning 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Now, a few months later, Kazakhstani athletes will demonstrate their skills in front of their fans.
Prizes in 10 weight categories will be awarded during the tournament. The main feature of the competition is the change in weight categories in connection with the new Olympic cycle. Men are now competing for the prize in 70, 81, 95 and +95 kg, and women in 52, 60, 70 and +70 kg. In addition, the International Judo Federation will give prizes in two weight categories (men – 64 kg, women – 46 kg), which are not included in the Olympic program, as an experience.
About 100 athletes from 15 countries will take part in this tournament. The honor of Kazakhstan will be defended by three pairs of athletes from Astana in the J1 category. Among them are:
Asylan Nurdauletov (73 kg);
Bauyrzhan Arystanbekov (90 kg);
Yerbolat Bekentaev (90 kg).
The opening ceremony of the competition will take place on November 23 at the Beeline Arena sports complex at 15:00. And the competition starts every day at 10:00.
