The systematic work of the interdepartmental working group on the return of unused agricultural lands, as well as lands that were used in violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, continues in the region. In 2024, 60 thousand hectares of land plots are planned to be returned to state ownership in the region. Since the beginning of this year, the Department of Land Management has returned 51.3 thousand hectares of land. This became known at a staff meeting chaired by Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy.
According to the head of the regional department of land relations Yergali Tilegen, at the beginning of last year, the shortage of pastures amounted to 2122.2 thousand hectares. Thanks to the work carried out, in 2023 this figure decreased to 608 thousand hectares.
Darkhan Satybaldy instructed the mayors of districts and cities, together with responsible departments and departments, to perform tasks at the proper level, focusing on the effective use of land.
This year, it is planned to increase the volume of public pastures by 304 thousand hectares in two directions. As part of the first direction, it is planned to return 64 thousand hectares of land to state ownership, of which 49.1 thousand hectares have been returned to date. The plan has been completed by 70% in 10 months. However, there is little work in this direction in the districts of Saryagash, Baidibek, Sairam, Tulkubas, Keles, Suzak and Otrar.
In the second direction, it is planned to reduce the total need for public pastures by 240 thousand hectares by organizing remote seasonal pastures and creating sites for fattening livestock. Thanks to this work, the need for public pastures has been reduced by 95.5 thousand hectares.
On behalf of the akim of the region, a working group has been established to analyze the agro-industrial complex of the region. As part of this work, an analysis was carried out in Ordabasinsky, Otrarsky, Sairamsky districts and the city of Arys.
In order to develop settlements in the Sairam district, it is planned to move the sites for fattening livestock from the village of Karabulak beyond its borders. To do this, it is planned to return 587 hectares of land to state ownership. At the moment, the akimat of the district has already returned 255 hectares.
