A seminar of the Frankfurt Book Fair has started in Almaty
18.11.2024 18:08:16 2299For the first time in Central Asia, the seminar "Frankfurt Book Fair in Almaty: Current trends in publishing and copyright management" is being held, which occupies an important place in the international publishing market.
The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Frankfurt Book Fair, the Kazakhstan Association of Publishers, Printers and Book Publishers, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Nomad Culture Foundation.
The seminar provides Kazakhstani publishers with opportunities to master modern technologies in the publishing sector, strengthen international relations and share experiences with world experts.
The program includes discussion of topical issues such as international experience in buying and selling copyrights and licenses, as well as the work of the Frankfurt Connect and Frankfurt Rights platforms designed for business interaction and book rights management.
Among the leading speakers of the event are Nicol Witt, Herman Eckel, Bettina Buck and Vladka Kupska. The special guest was the president of the Frankfurt Book Fair, Jurgen Boos.
The seminar is attended by 20 Kazakhstani publishing houses, as well as over 40 specialists and teachers in the field of printing.
The event will continue on November 19 and will cover the topic "Using artificial intelligence in publishing: international experience".
